What a night this will be! I'll also be conducting a workshop in the afternoon talking about the "song" part. The concert is in the evening. This is will be a great time for a great cause!

Fred Sturm Jazz Celebration Weekend Lawrence University Studio Orchestra Concert Friday, November 8, 2019, 7:30 p.m. Lawrence University presents a special event combining the sounds of the Jazz Ensemble & Symphony Orchestra with featured performances by members of the Jazz Faculty. Works include music by Fred Sturm, Chuck Owen, Duke Ellington and more. This is a rare opportunity to hear an ensemble with over 100 performers showcasing exciting new music that truly integrates jazz, improvisation and the beautiful sonorities of the orchestra.
