Last year, I attended a concert by The Oshkosh Chamber Singers.  I was struck by the program of rather difficult pieces that were performed with a high level of execution while maintaining a joyful and emotionally charged dynamic core.  Of course, under the direction of Herb Berendsen! One piece in particular brought tears to my eyes that streamed down uncontrollably.  John Harmon was at the concert along with his wife.  After another piece was finished, John's wife nudged me and pointed to John.  He was moved to the same condition as me.  A beautiful experience which I'll never forget. Fortunately, both John and I were asked to perform with this group on October 28th 2017.  Some of John's pieces will be featured and we'll be performing a few together.  We're looking forward to this concert and hope you'll join us.  Information below. This event, developed to encourage the arts and music scene here in Wisconsin, has been in place for over 10 years bringing musicians "in from outside".   This year, we stay home and feature "family".   Janet Planet hosts a gifted musician who resides in Oshkosh.  Tom Washatka is simply amazing.  Come and be part of the family. Should be a rockin' time with this great group of musicians.  Steve March Torme' and Janet Planet will chime in on a few tunes.    

For almost 20 years we presented an up-close and personal holiday concert at Tisch Mill's Historic Forst Inn.  My favorite venue of all because of the petite size with big heart! About 2 years ago we thought it would be our last performance.  I went behind stage and took some video while saying goodbye. I will cherish the video but thankfully, it was all for not.  We're so excited to announce that the Historic Forst Inn has been rescued by some very brave and generous artists! We'll be ringing in the holiday with some perennial favorites, some up-lifting jazz and some fun!  You'll need to get tickets right away.  The venue seats 90.  Like I said "up-close and personal".  I'll be joined by Tom Theabo (guitar), Andy Sachen (bass) and Danny Lueck (drums). Now called the Forst Inn Arts Collective a nonprofit organization that will continue to feature theater and music in this one of a kind venue.
