Two years ago, we were blessed to be part of an all-star celebration of Gene Bertoncini's life. We're going back to make some music with this iconic musician. Join us at St. Peter's Church also known as the "jazz church" for a beautiful musical collaboration. Anything with Ike Sturm, Gene Bertoncini and Tom Washatka at the helm will be beautiful!
The best place for music in our home town. Please support this venue, listen to some jazz, have a great meal and experience the best service in town. Maybe even have some laughs!
Join us to alleviate any "March Sadness". Have a scrumptious meal, a beverage of your choice and relax as we supply the jazz, humor and goose bumps. Ring in Spring. Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair! Tom Theabo (guitar) Andy Sachen (bass) AND GUEST DRUMMER RYAN KORB!
Guest Artists/Clinicians: Janet Planet & Dr. Jeremy Fox!!! Groups will prepare 2-3 songs to perform on stage with our state-of-the-art sound system and then participate in a clinic with either Lawrence University faculty member and recording artist, performer, teacher, and clinician Janet Planet (janetplanet.com) or Indiana University faculty member and Grammy-nominated vocal jazz arranger, conductor, and educator Dr. Jeremy Fox (www.jeremyfox.net). In addition to an on-stage clinic, your choir will learn from watching other high school and college groups perform, will attend masterclasses by both Janet Planet and Dr. Jeremy Fox, will have an opportunity to work on solo singing, and will be given FREE tickets to attend an evening concert by Janet Planet and her trio that you don’t want to miss. A professional rhythm section will be available to perform with your group if it is desired, and a private YouTube video of your group’s performance will be created so your students can watch their performance and share with family and friends.
